Steve has been in the Utah assisted living industry since 1998 when Bel Aire built its first facility. He has a bachelors degree in financial planning & counseling, and an MBA in finance. He is passionate about the assisted living industry and through his participation in our Utah state association as has attempted to raise building and care giving standards industry wide.
Steve loves to serve in leadership roles. He has served on the Utah Assisted Living Association board of directors since 2004, including two stints as Association president. Steve is also serving the second of two four year terms on the governor appointed State of Utah Health Facilities Committee, which he has chaired since 2015.
Steve is also a member and past-president of the Provo Rotary Club affiliated with Rotary International.
When Steve is not working he loves to spend time with his family and cook their Sunday family dinners, run triathlons during the summer, golf and read good books. He is originally from Southern California, he and his wife Allison, have seven terrific children.
Two things you might not know about Steve are that he is a former LDS Stake President and he ran the decathlon in college at BYU.
Director of Care/Assistant Administrator
Sherry loves working in the health care field and enjoys the special relationships she able to develop with her patients, residents and their families. She is focused on providing excellent care for all residents because it really matters to her that everyone feels loved and cared for while at Bel Aire Senior Living.
She has been a Home Health and Hospice CNA since 2008 and has been the Care Coordinator/Med Tech for Bel Aire Senior Living since 2009. She has been serving as Bel Aire’s Director of Care since 2014 and now proudly serving as the Assistant Administrator.
She brings a beautiful attitude and radiant smile to all who meet her. Everyone loves to be around her and work with her.
Whenever she is not working with a client, she enjoys cooking, spending time in the countryside and entertaining friends and family. Sherry was born and raised in Redondo Beach, Ca. She has two children and three grandchildren.
One thing you would be surprised to know about her is that she and her husband enjoy spending their free time traveling the countryside on their Harley and she loves sushi.
Chad Hillier has been in the health care field for the last 10 years. He spent his first years as the Director of Program development where he created wellness programs for assisted living facilities in Salt Lake City. He eventually moved on to work in the home health and hospice field, focusing on marketing and business development. Chad has been actively involved in assisted livings for the past couple of years, enjoying being able to be more involved in the residents care and learning about their lives.
Cadence Mae Hillier is Chads five-year old daughter! He loves spending time with her and his fiance, Kourtnee. They are involved in many activities, including but not limited to four wheeling, jeeping, camping in their trailer and traveling!
Chad is dedicated to his job and his family. He is excited to be a part of the Bel Aire family and hopes he can continue to contribute to the growth of the company and its core values.
Matt is our Food Service Manager who works with a great kitchen staff helping the residents at Bel Aire Senior living in American Fork, Utah with their dietary needs. He provides delicious and tasty meals three times a day every day along with snacks. He enjoys interacting with the residents at Bel Aire, listening to their concerns and appreciates their compliments. He always has time for the residents and is willing to go out of his way to make things right.
Matt believes that food can put a smile on your face, a warm feeling in your tummy and can make you have a great day everyday. He likes to do things the right way the first time keeping in mind high standards and great quality food.
Matt believes in what he does because of his passion for food. He studied at UVU in Culinary Arts (AAS Degree) & Hospitality Management (BS degree). Matt is certified as a chef, chef de cuisine and pastries and was awarded the Beacon award from a previous employer.
Matt has worked with many great people in his life learning a lot from their experiences as well as his own. His biggest accomplishment and greatest support is his family. Family is one of his biggest successes in life.
Matt is always willing to listen and communicate with others. He is always willing to help others when they need it including having an open door policy when it comes to working with others and their families.
Andrea has worked with seniors in long-term care and assisted living for the past 13 years. She specifically has worked in Dementia care and behavioral units. She enjoys working to provide sensory stimulation, memory recall, music, physical activities along with outings and scenic bus adventures.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Leisure Services and Recreation from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington and a Therapeutic Recreation Technician Certification in May 2014.
Andrea enjoys working with people, encouraging positive outcomes and providing opportunities to succeed. She looks forward to meeting the family members of our residents. She also enjoys having grandchildren recitals, singing and any other talents families would like to share with all our residents at Bel Aire Senior Living.
Two things you may not know about Andrea is that she served an LDS mission in Hamburg, West Germany and she went on an Alaskan Quilting Cruise completing a 3D quilt.
Andrea is raising four young grandchildren who love to come and visit all of the grandmas and grandpas. She enjoys connecting people of different generations for their benefit and enjoyment.

Registered Nurse - RN
Scott is our RN at Bel Aire Senior Living in American Fork. He has been an RN for 8 years now where he has worked in a variety of places. He started off working at Mountain View Hospital working in the ER, after sometime, he picked up shifts in the ICU and worked between the two units.
Whenever he is not working, he loves to play with his kids and on his off time he loves to play golf and basketball frequently. He also loves to go on dates with his wife, anywhere from golfing to a night out to eat and a movie. They have been married for 7 years and they have 3 beautiful kids.
Scott enjoys watching his boy play basketball and his girl sing and dance. His baby girl is 5 months old, Scott enjoys playing and bonding with his new bundle of joy.
Bill has worked in Assisted Living since 2008 as Maintenance Director and Maintenance Coordinator. He feels very blessed to be able to use his skills to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the residents. He enjoys listening to the stories and life experiences that the residents share with him.
Bill has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has been an Electrical and Building Contractor and has a degree in contractors’ law. He enjoys problem solving and keeping busy.
Whenever he is not working, he enjoys going to their cabin, fishing, hiking and 4 wheeling. They have a small mini-farm with chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats and a large garden area where they grow most of the fruits and vegetables they consume. Bill has been married for 30 years and he and his wife have 9 children and 7 grandchildren.
One thing you would be surprised to know about him is that he and his children enjoy playing guitar and writing music. Bill has also just finished a sci-fi/fantasy novel and is co-authoring a novel with his wife.
John Freeze has 10 years of experience as the CFO of psychiatric hospitals in Missouri, Indiana and Utah. He was the CFO of 2 large retirement communities in Indiana for over 16 years.
He helped with the planning and implementation of the construction of a new 105 bed skilled nursing facility at one community and participated in the planning of a major renovation of the other community’s buildings.
He and his wife Ann moved to Utah in 2010 and they have two daughters and one grandson. They love to spend as much time as possible with their grandson, Frank who is almost 4 years old. Ann teaches Special Education in American Fork.
